Who is doing this

Kevin Factor.

You already know your work. My job is clearing the runway — getting the obstacles off it so you get airborne, and then you fly wherever you want.

Take the weight off people, and give them back the work only they can do.

Forty-odd years

Fifteen years in the darkroom, fifteen years inside technology, and now AI — pointed at the same thing the whole time: content and storytelling.

I’m a native of all three. Analogue, digital, and now this.

What that actually took

To make a picture you shut yourself in a room away from every trace of light. Shoot film — silver halide — develop the negative, put it in an enlarger, expose it onto paper, take it through the chemistry until the image comes up, wash it, hang it to dry. That was the only way there was. Then the whole thing became digital, and I went through that. Now it’s AI, and I’m going through that too. Every one of those shifts arrived looking like the end of the craft, and each time what survived was the person who knew what they were pointing it at.

Cape Town, Sea Point. A practitioner running this in public — pattern recognition carried across shifts in the work, not a founder story with a single hero.

A long-running consciousness practice — breathwork, meditation — sits behind the automation work, not instead of it. Genuine care, held with humility, no showmanship.
